Q: Will the JS-2 fill from a pressure tank?

A: Yes. You can use any delivery system - pressure tanks, piston pumps, diaphragm pumps, etc.
Your fill time is directly related to how fast your delivery system can pump your material.
The JS-2 can fill as fast as you can pump material into it.

Q: How many cartridge sets will it fill per hour?

A: During development we pumped a heavy viscosity material with a 55-gallon drum unloader piston pump 20:1 ratio, filling 600ml x 600ml cartridge set in less than 6 seconds. Add the time to place set into the fixture, remove it, and put the nose plugs in and we completed one set every 10 -15 sec. Again how many you produce per hour will depend upon your material and delivery system.

Q: Does the JS-2 use a positive displacement system, but our JS-2E is positive displacement.

A: No, the JS-2 uses two independent shut-off pins that stop the material flow and give a consistant fill level every time reguardless of the type of material.

Q: Do I need to clean the dispense valves if I change materials?

A: It's always a good idea to disassemble and clean the dispense valves of all material before changing to a different material. You may purge the system with mineral spirits or other solvent that is compatable with your material. Always be sure you use the same valve for part A&B to avoid any setting up of material in the dispense valve.

Q: Will the dispense valves work at high pressure?

A: Yes. Our dispense valves have been tested at 3,500 - 4,000 fluid p.s.i.

Q: When filling with paste or gels will the material bleed out the nose after the fill?

A: No, the JS-2 has two dispense valves to chooes from one with a large snuff-back for paste/gel and another smaller valve for more liquid materials. You may also use any dispense valve with air to open and air to close thats on the market and has a 1/4 NPT outlet.
